IBC embraces the UNIO Personal Reference Monitoring Solution
So this was the perfect opportunity to unveil our new UNIO Personal Reference Monitoring Solution, comprising the 9320A Reference Controller, Reference Measurement Microphone, and the 8550A Professional Reference Headphones – which together help create an even more seamless bridge between in-room loudspeaker and personal headphone monitoring.
As well as personal demos on the booth, visitors could also spend time in our 7.1.4 immersive listening room, and instantly compare in-room and headphone mixes. This is key to the appeal of UNIO, and allowed customers to appreciate just how easily they could move back-and-forth between studio monitors and headphones, with excellent translation between the two.
The UNIO Personal Reference Monitoring Solution also won plaudits from the media, with both Red Tech and TVB Europe selecting it for ‘IBC Best in Show’ awards.
Genelec's Andy Bensley (Business Development Manager UK), Solja Nieminen (Business Manager, Pro Audio) and Eric Horstmann (Regional Business Manager) holding the awards.
Other hot topics at the show included AI, 5G, cloud technology….. and sustainability. The latter has long been a focus for us, so we were proud to sponsor and attend the Corporate Star Awards and The Flint Green Line. The Corporate Star Awards create a competitive and transparent forum for companies to compare and celebrate their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) improvements and performance against their peers, while the Green Line networking event took place on the Eurostar between London and Amsterdam, to encourage low-carbon travel and bring together sustainability-minded media professionals.
Finally, IBC always gives us a chance to meet with both our distribution partners and customers, so thank you for everyone who took the time to stop by our booth or join us for dinner – your support is very much appreciated!
