Genelec presents UNIO and 9320A at IBC 2023
IBC – which is held at Amsterdam’s RAI – is one of the international broadcasting industry’s most prestigious and vibrant events, annually drawing together key players from the global media, entertainment and technology trade for a compelling opportunity to learn, network and do business. Created “by the industry, for the industry”, IBC has continued to evolve with new trends and technologies over its 56-year history.
This year’s IBC felt like the perfect place for us to give our brand-new UNIO Platform and 9320A Reference Controller their first public outing. UNIO is a new, easier way for audio professionals to harness the combined power of our industry-leading adaptive technologies Smart Active (SAM) Monitoring, Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software and Aural ID personal HRTF and plug-in – enabling engineers to confidently work in and beyond the studio. Proudly, our presence at IBC drew the attention of three highly respected award givers, who each judged Genelec worthy of their coveted recognition. Our 9320A Reference Controller won the hearts of both TVB Europe and Red Tech, who each awarded it 'Best of Show' among a handful of other highly acclaimed products. As a company, we were delighted to receive Corporate Star Awards’ stamp of approval for our sustainability credentials with their Best Carbon Footprint Improvement Initiative Award.
